We provide grants from our fund at the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation to Oshkosh area non profits who serve older adults.

The Ladies Benevolent Society: Advocates for Older Adults was founded in 1863 to improve the lives of Civil War widows. 

From its very beginning, the Ladies Benevolent Society has been dedicated to those in need.

We are the oldest philanthropic organization in the state of Wisconsin still in operation.

Mission:

The mission of the Ladies Benevolent Society: Advocates for Older Adults is to provide assistance that contributes to the health and well being of older adults in the Oshkosh area.

Vision:

The Ladies Benevolent Society: Advocates for Older Adults will be a community leader in funding and promoting services that enhance the lives of older adults, advocating for the seamless care of our communities’ older population.
